Boilerplate
First American Publishing publishes free, plain-language Medicare information for people approaching or already enrolled in Medicare, and for the professionals who help them. Its online assistant answers questions using only the official Medicare.gov and CMS.gov websites and links the source page with every answer. First American Publishing is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or the federal Medicare program.
How the answers are produced
Pages from Medicare.gov and CMS.gov are collected into a searchable library. When a visitor asks a question, the assistant retrieves the relevant official pages and writes a plain-language answer from them, citing the pages it used. It is instructed to refuse rather than answer from anything outside those two sources. Visitors can also browse the underlying library directly on the search page.
